175 UNDERSERVED FAMILIES NOW HAVE access to solar energy

The Share the Sun program provides reduced-cost portable solar generators to low-income families in St. Thomas and St. John, helping them maintain power during outages and disasters.   

Administered by Community Action NOW and Rotary East ECO, with support from several local organizations, the program has already benefited over 175 families since 2022. In addition to the reduced-cost option, a retail sales program allows others to purchase the generators, with proceeds reinvested to expand the program's reach and help more families access solar energy. This program will resume in spring of 2025, pending funding availability.  Check back soon for updates!
