The Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-CSSRS) is widely recognized as a gold standard, innovative, suicide risk screening tool. It has been implemented in many systems across the US and abroad. Reports indicate a rise in suicidal ideations and attempts during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Join Community Action NOW in partnership with Alliant Health Solutions in this 90-minute session to learn how to keep communities safe through early detection, intervention and follow-up.
Learning Objectives: 1. Learn how screening with the C-SSRS can be used to identify at-risk individuals and identify steps to implement a comprehensive screening program that includes targeted and public health approaches to prevention.
2. Learn how to use the C-SSRS, to identify suicidal ideation and behavior to improved identification, which ultimately saves lives.
3. Learn the types of suicidal ideation and the four behaviors that are predictive of imminent risk, how to administer the C-SSRS full and screener scales and list long and short term risk and protective factors.
NEWROCK E.METRO ATL YOUTHBUILD
NEWROCK YouthBuild is a comprehensive youth Pre-Arrest Diversion and Re-Entry pilot program with a focus on workforce and community development. Through this program we support vulnerable populations between the ages of 16-26 that are incarcerated or facing the possibility of incarceration. This program will launch in fall of 2022 in Rockdale County, GA serving Rockdale, Newton and City of Lithonia
